At Tasmanian Bakeries, we have a National obsession. Pies.In 1942 our founder Alfred Gough, a local butcher, created a pie so 'proper' that it impressed even the gentry at Hobart's National Theatre. And so the National Pie was born.
Today, Alfred's family continues to bake Proper National Pies daily for all the good people of Tassie.
There's no big secret. We just make it and bake it proper, with 128 layers of puff pastry wrapped around our butchers' best cuts of Tassie beef.

Preparation Instructions
Heat it proper! For proper results: 1. Preheat oven to 170°C (160°C fan forced). 2. Remove product from packaging. 3. Place pie on oven tray and heat for 30 minutes or 50 minutes if frozen, or until hot. Eat it proper!
Usage Instructions
To thaw properly, do it overnight in the fridge. Do not refreeze thawed products.
Storage Instructions
Store Frozen: at or below -18°C. Store Fresh: at or below 5°C.
